Light Features

Totally redesigned electronics - an electronic "boost converter" provides high efficiency LED drive and maximizes solar panel and battery use.
New circuitry provides three settings in both Task Light & Room Light modes - this will allow for extended periods of use - conservatively, fully charged batteries provide, high 4/5 hours, medium 8/10hours and low, 16/20 hours of task light/room operation.
Batteries are air-cooled with each battery isolated in its own compartment and suspended with vanes to allow heat to be radiated away from the light when charging so that the batteries remain closer to ambient temperature.
Single mold case vice bilateral symmetry and no screws to hold the light housing together. Light is very water resistant
Six LEDs for normal illumination, and three wide angle higher power LEDs for room illumination - this is a result of the funding we received from the Rockefeller Foundation. A single switch allows users to click transfer between lighting modes.
Three (3) NiMh batteries - greater efficiency and better for the environment - we no longer use NiCad batteries Totally redesigned carabiner attach point allowing for one-hand use

Excellent Lamp	December 29, 2009

I have been enjoying my BoGo lamp through out the seasons and am very happy with it. I use it around the house for small tasks and at my cabin for lighting up the dinner table.

During the summer it sits on a shelf recharging with the sun and in winter I recharge the batteries with an external charger. With the sun here in Alaska it is good for about 7 or 8 months. I have replaced the included batteries with some Energizer 2500Mah batteries to prolong usage.

A very nice quality lamp and a wonderful cause.

This is an excellent flashlight, & I really appreciated the offer to buy one & give one to someone who needs it. This is a terrific program. I just received mine a few days ago, it charged up nicely sitting in front of a window, & works great. I am planning on getting another one through the same deal for a friend. Excellent light, excellent program to give something needed to someone in need.
